MID                            Thursday 25th June

You are likely to want to attend your local meeting, but if the date doesn’t work for you please do attend any of the other meetings. There is no need to book the meeting, but please let me know if you have any specific dietary requirements that the venue needs to be aware of.

The EPHA slot at the meeting will include the area annual general meeting. Please see the nomination form below for your local representatives.

Peter Stonier, Ofsted Senior HMI, will join us once again to give an update on the renewed inspection framework. If you have any questions you would like to ask, it would be very helpful if you could send them to me a few days in advance of the meeting – I will forward them to Peter, giving him a chance to respond fully.

In the afternoon Jo Barclay will run the termly safeguarding forum meeting – headteachers are very welcome to stay on and attend, and other staff from schools across the area will join the meeting.

There will be an alternative online Safeguarding Forum for schools and settings on Thursday 2nd July 2026, from 3.30 pm- 5.00 pm. It will be a shortened version of the in-person forums for schools and will include all relevant safeguarding updates, although minimal input from other agencies. To find out more and to book your place, please visit the Education Essex Online training portal

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need any more information about these or other EPHA matters at pam@langmead.me.uk

I look forward to seeing you at the meetings.
