Information and links following the Spring term headteacher meetings

The agendas for the spring term headteacher meetings included a wealth of information - the minutes of the meetings will be available soon, but in the meantime, please find further information in the attached presentations and guidance:

A View from the Bridge - presentation from Clare Kershaw, Director for Commissioning Education and Lifelong Learning. including updates on the Education and Adoption Bill, the School Led Improvement Partnerships, an Ofsted overview, recruitment and retention, SEN and capital development update.

Information about Schools Broadband - Sian Shordan can be contacted at sian.shordan@essex.gov.uk and the presentation includes a page on specific contact information. EPHA is conducting a survey about schools' experience with the Schools Broadband Service - if you haven't had a chance to complete the survey, please find it attached here and return it to Pam Langmead, Professional Officer, at pam@langmead.me.uk by Friday 4 March.

Presentations about Perspective Lite - the new online portal, which will host visit notes and local and national data- and Education Essex - how to access previous issues of the newsletter.

Information about the Education Support Network, presented by Caroline Geilnik.

The South and West headteachers benefited from a presentation on Essex Steps, delivered by Joel Shaljean. Joel referred to two model policies - a Restrictive Physical Intervention Policy and a Touch policy, that you may wish to adapt for your school.

North East Headteachers had a presentation from Google Education, and information from Albion.
