This guidance is for:headteachers, teachers and education staff and governing bodies; It applies to all schools.

Maintained schools - constitution statutory guidance

This is statutory guidance from the Department for Education. This means that governing bodies (including governing bodies of federations) and local authorities must have regard to it when carrying out duties relating to the constitution of governing bodies in maintained schools. Schools must publish specific information about their governors on their website - see page 10 of the guidance for details.

Academies Financial Handbook 2015 was published late July and is effective from 1 September 2015. The main changes are listed on pages 5 and 6.

I look forward to seeing you at EPHA meetings this term - please don't hesitate to contact me if you want any support, advice or information - or want to change your email contact for the information that I send out.
