Religious Education - free training and access to toolkit for subject leaders

Thursday 30th May 2013

SACRE have commissioned the Education Consultancy team to provide training AT NO COST TO SCHOOLS to address key issues in primary RE provision highlighted in the recent round of SACRE reviews in Essex schools, and the outcomes from the Ofsted "Transforming Religious Education" document

  • Are you confident that you can track pupils' achievement in RE across the school in an easy and practical way?
  • Are you systematically tracking achievement, teaching, quality of the curriculum, leadership and management and overall effectiveness of RE and logging outcomes on a self evaluation form?
  • Have you a system to evaluate the effectiveness of SMSC in your school?
  • Have you a simple way of evaluating the impact of Collective Worship on your pupils and students?
  • Do teachers plan effectively to meet the needs of all groups of pupils through quality first teaching in RE?

These sessions will be led by Trevor Scott, Education Adviser and will enable access for schools to a practical toolkit which provides an effective solution to some of the issues raised above.

This full day course is packed with ideas and opportunities for delegates to explore In easy and practical ways the issues of assessment, tracking, planning and evaluation. See attached flyer for information about the available courses and booking information.
