During the summer the Standards and Excellence team have been updating the Essex School Improvement Framework, which can found in the attached booklet Essex School Improvement Framework Commissioning Model 2012

This booklet describes how Essex County Council (ECC) Lead Strategic Commissioners from the Standards and Excellence team work with all its schools and settings to promote school improvement. The context is the move of the authority to commissioning and away from ‘providing'. This is in line with the reduced budget available and government policy, as expressed through the teaching white paper, and the 2010 and 2011 Academies and Education Acts.
