The four termly headteacher meetings are taking place in November and we look forward to seeing all primary, infant and junior heads at their local meetings. Please follow the links to the morning agendas and the agenda for the afternoon meeting with Local Authority officers.

Meetings start at 9.00 am and please book out the whole day to ensure you benefit from the District, EPHA and Local Authority input. The agendas will be emailed to schools in advance of the meeting, and will be available on the EPHA website. The Autumn term newsletter, which includes the dates for meetings in the 2012/13 school year, and information from the recent Annual General Meeting, will be distributed at the meetings.
The LA agenda will include a chance to discuss the changing education landscape and the Local Authority's strategy, working in partnership towards solutions for Essex. This will be led by Tim Coulson, the Director for Education and Learning. There will be an update from HR at each meeting and a session with each of the Local Directors for Social Care.
A number of draft documents will be considered during the social care item on the agenda. These will include:
- Effective support for children and families in Essex - draft document - PLEASE PRINT A COPY AND BRING TO THE MEETING
- Essex windscreen (hard copy provided at meeting)
- Families with complex needs - Executive summary (hard copy provided at meeting)
Lunch and refreshments will be provided free at the meetings.
As always, we would be grateful if you could let us know of any headteacher colleagues who are leaving their post at the end of the Autumn term, so that we can thank them and celebrate their contribution to Essex schools and their pupils.
