New materials to support the teaching of RE in Key Stage have been uploaded onto the Essex Grid for Learning. These have been commissioned by Essex SACRE and produced by Lynne Broadbent, who has been a teacher trainer, adviser in RE and writer of teacher and pupil-based resources for over thirty years. The materials fall within the framework of the agreed RE Syllabus as shown on the attached briefing paper.
Each module begins with the children's own direct experience and then follows this theme in the context of Christianity and another world religion.
Please bring these materials to the notice of your subject leader and Key Stage 1 teachers. Training/briefing meetings for RE subject leaders are being arranged for the Autumn Term - dates will be available in the near future.
