At the last EPHA Executive meeting, held on 30 September 2009, the headteachers present discussed the current testing system in Primary schools which culminates in formal SATs tests at the end of Year 6, and alternative methods of assessment.
It was decided that all Primary (including Junior and Infant) heads should be asked about their views on the current system so that the Executive has a clearer idea about the views of headteachers across Essex. A questionnaire has been developed and we'd be grateful if all heads could fill this out at the termly headteacher meetings, or by email, and return it to Pam Langmead, EPHA Manager, by the end of the Autumn term.
