Spring term primary headteacher meetings

Monday 25th February 2019

The spring term Area Primary Headteacher meetings will be held in March - see dates and venues below. The meetings will start at 9.00 am and will include, as always, refreshments and lunch. You are likely to want to attend your local meeting, but if the date doesn’t work for you please do attend any of the other meetings. There is no need to book for the EPHA meeting, just turn up (leaving some time for parking) and enjoy the day.

The spring term newsletter will be circulated at the meeting and is published on the EPHA website.

The dates of the meetings are:

NORTH EAST     Wednesday 6 March      Colchester Stadium, CO4 5UP

SOUTH              Thursday 7 March           Holiday Inn, Basildon, SS14 3DG

WEST              Wednesday 13 March        Business Centre, Takeley, CM22 6PU

MID                  Thursday 14 March            Chelmsford City Football Club, CM1 2EH

The agenda will include updates from the Local Authority, including information about traded services and an update on the SEND strategy. The information about the educational data traded service package is attached and will be discussed at the meeting.

The Local Director for Virgincare will attend each meeting, and give headteachers a chance to discuss and feedback on the Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service 3 Year Strategic Plan for School Age Children (2018 – 2021).

Headteachers will also consider the proposed framework for Ofsted inspections from September 2019, and have a chance to input to the draft EPHA consultation response.

Safeguarding Forum meeting
In the afternoon Jo Barclay will run the termly safeguarding forum meeting in each area – headteachers are very welcome to stay on and attend, and other staff from schools across the area will join the meeting (from 1.30 pm – 4.30 pm). If you plan to attend, please make sure you have booked a place via the Infolink
