The Essex Safeguarding Children Board (ESCB) Annual Report 2015-16 has been published and can be found below. The school representatives on the Board are: Pam Langmead and Simon Billings (primary), Simon Thomson (secondary) and Paul Ellis (Special schools). In addition, Clare Kershaw and Jo Barclay act as advisers to the Board and attend Board meetings.
A reminder that there is no requirement to complete the Safeguarding Audit this academic year, as we have moved to a two-yearly reporting cycle to the ESCB. All schools will be required to complete it again next academic year (by the end of July 2018) but, meanwhile, Jo Barclay has updated the format for this year for schools to use if they wish. Log-on details will be sent to schools at the beginning of November.
Finally, please find attached the dates for the Safeguarding Forum meetings in March 2017. If you wish to attend, please ensure you complete the application form and return it to Caroline Saunders, Business Support Administrator: Caroline.Saunders@essex.gov.uk
